No matter what the reason is, it’s important for team members to understand the impact that their own actions will have on the overall success of the team as a whole. Each individual has to realize that he or she has a part in the team’s success or failure. If team members feel like they are accomplishing something, no matter how small the change may seem, it can have a profound effect on the team as a whole.
When a team begins to work well, there is nothing more effective than members helping members to reach their goals. One simple way to facilitate this is to assign roles based on performance. Each team member is then responsible for helping to achieve the overall organization goal. There may be an overall team goal, but each member on the team is responsible for achieving a specific part of that goal. This type of personalized approach to team personal development is very effective.

When there is a high-ranking leader, however, this type of personality can be detrimental to the success of the team.
