Cause Of Depression

Although No one knows why depression happens. It is generally due to a combination of recent incidents. Personal factors also make you depressed.

Research suggests that chronic difficulties-long-term unemployment, violent or reckless marriage, isolation and long term workload stress-are more likely than life pressures in recent times to cause depression. Nevertheless, new events (such as loss of your job) or a combination of events can cause this problem.

You may be depressed if you have been feeling sad, down or unhappy for more than two weeks, or lost interest or enjoyment in usual activities, and also encountered several of the signs and symptoms in at least three of the following categories.

  • When you always feel sad
  • If you lost all pleasure in activities once enjoyed
  • When you suffer weight loss or gain due to imbalance appetite
  • If you have trouble sleeping or sleeping too much
  • When you always feel tired and increased fatigue
  • When you always feel worthless or guilty
  • If you are not able to concentrate
  • When you are not able to make decisions
  • When you get thoughts of doing suicide
  • Using alcohol due to sadness

Depression is one of the most psychiatric illnesses that can be treated. Finally, between 80% and 90% of people with this problem respond well to therapy. Despite their symptoms, almost all patients receive certain relief.


Brain chemistry may contribute to the depression of an individual and can contribute to their treatment. To help modify one’s brain chemistry, antidepressants may be prescribed for this reason. They’re not forming trends. Antidepressant drugs typically have no relaxing effect on people who do not have depression.

Psychotherapy is often used in combination with antidepressant medications of moderate to severe depression. In the treatment of depression, cognitive-behavioral counseling (CBT) was found to be effective. CBT is a method of present-day and problem-solving therapy.

CBT helps a person understand distorted thinking and alter habits and perceptions afterward. Psychotherapy may include the patient alone, but it may consist of others. For example, in these close relationships, family or couple therapy may help address problems. Community therapy includes people suffering from related diseases.
